Hip and Joint Support

Our Hip and Joint Support supplement is designed to help out your furry friends that are suffering from arthritis and joint issues by reducing inflammation, lubricating the joints, and fortifying the bones with extra calcium and zinc. In addition, this product could help your pet reduce some symptoms and negative processes that arise from auto-immune disorders in the joints.

Every ingredient in our formula utilizes real clinical evidence to show that ingredient’s efficacy in it’s intended purpose. Your pets are like your children, and you want proof that the supplements you give them are good for them. Click on any of the links and you will be directed to an academic/clinical journal.

Collagen Hydrolysate – It is the most abundant protein in the body and forms our strong but pliable connective tissues: tendons, ligaments, cartilage, joints, and skin. These peptides have a low molecular weight and are very easy for our body to absorb. Moreover, collagen peptides can also reduce autoimmune inflammation.

Chondroitin Sulfate – Chondroitin sulfate is a chemical that is normally found in cartilage around joints in the body. Chondroitin sulfate is usually manufactured from animal sources, such as shark and cow cartilage. Chondroitin sulfate is used for osteoarthritis. It is often used in combination with other ingredients, including manganese ascorbate, glucosamine sulfate, glucosamine hydrochloride, or N-acetyl glucosamine.

Glucosamine – Glucosamine occurs naturally in the fluid around the joints, in animal bones, bone marrow, shellfish, and fungi. It plays a vital role in building cartilage, and many people take it as a supplement to treat arthritis and osteoarthritis. It is used by the body to produce a variety of other chemicals that are involved in building tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and the thick fluid that surrounds joints. Joints are cushioned by the fluid and cartilage that surround them.

MSM – Methylsulfonylmethane is an organic compound that’s used to improve immune function, reduce inflammation and help regenerate healthy body tissue. The reason MSM contains so many benefits is because MSM provides biologically active sulfur, which is the fourth most plentiful mineral in the body and required for many different critical body functions every single day.

Turmeric Extract – Turmeric contains the chemical curcumin. Curcumin and other chemicals in turmeric decrease inflammation. Because of this, turmeric is beneficial for treating conditions that involve inflammation.

Turmeric has a wide variety of uses, included but not limited to: headaches, bronchitis, colds, lung infections, fibromyalgia, leprosy, and certain types of cancers

Burdock Root – Burdock root is known for its powerful anti-inflammatory abilities, even helping to soothe arthritis. It has potent anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects on the human body. Recent studies also show that burdock contains the phenolic acids quercetin and luteolin which are known to be powerful anti-inflammatories and antioxidants.

Calendula Extract – Calendula Extract, though extremely commonplace,  is another ingredient that has been prized for its anti-inflammatory effects, and assisting the body in maintaining bone function.

Calcium Citrate – It may be used to treat conditions caused by low calcium levels such as bone loss (osteoporosis), weak bones (osteomalacia/rickets), decreased activity of the parathyroid gland (hypoparathyroidism), and a certain muscle disease (latent tetany). Calcium plays a very important role in the body. It is necessary for normal functioning of nerves, cells, muscle, and bone. If there is not enough calcium in the blood, then the body will take calcium from bones, thereby weakening them.

Zinc Gluconate – Zinc is a naturally occurring mineral. Zinc is important for growth and for the development and health of body tissues. It is provided in gluconate form for easier absorption by the body.

Selenium – Selenium is an essential trace element for both humans and animals, with a myriad of studies that suggest selenium intake may be necessary for bone health. Such findings also relate to roles of Selenium in antioxidant protection, improved immune system response and modulation of cell proliferation.

Bay Leaf Extract – One of the most important properties of bay leaf extract is that it can reduce inflammation throughout the body. Bay leaves contain a unique and vital phytonutrient named parthenolide which can effectively reduce inflammation and irritation (including those caused by arthritis.)

Vitamin D3 – Adequate vitamin D intake is important for the regulation of calcium and phosphorus absorption, maintenance of healthy bones and teeth, and is suggested to supply a protective effect against multiple diseases and conditions such as cancer, type 1 diabetes and multiple sclerosis. In spite of the name, vitamin D is considered a pro-hormone and not actually a vitamin. This is because the body is capable of producing its own vitamin D through the action of sunlight on the skin, while vitamins are nutrients that cannot be synthesized by the body and must be acquired through the diet or supplements.

Sprouted Wheat – A gentle but effective bio-stimulator; contains an optimal formulation of fibers, minerals, and vitamins such as phosphorus, zinc, iron, potassium, B-vitamins, and folate.
